Appointments
At Al Rahba Hospital, we have established a number of procedures to help you get an appointment without a long delay. Our goals are simple :
  • You should be able to see your Consultant / Specialist within the earliest possible time – one or two days.
  • You should have faster access to quality as well as specialty care.
  • It would be ideal (yet not mandatory) for you to attach a referral letter along with your request for an appointment.
Please go through the whole page before you place request for an appointment.
Referral for treatment under Al Rahba Hospital
It would be ideal (yet not mandatory), for your current doctor/family doctor or your General practitioner or the treating doctor from any of the primary health center to provide you a referral letter.
You may ask your current doctor to provide you with a referral letter, giving brief details of your condition. It would be very much helpful, and is important that your consulting doctor/family doctor is aware that you are seeking treatment from Al RAHBA Hospital, and therefore a referral letter would be recommended (yet not mandatory).
Walk in clients are at times permitted depending on the availability of time slots, especially with Obstetrics and Gynecology department alone.
How the process works ?
Once we receive the request for an appointment, either through online, fax, or hand delivered, the appointment section takes it across to the concerned doctor who would then decide upon the nearest appointment date as may seem appropriate. The appointment section staff logs onto our Health information system and tracks as to whether the patient has a medical record file with our Hospital previously.
If in case you are to visit Al RAHBA for the first time, a new medical record file is then generated. Now that the appointment is fixed, it would be intimated to your contact number through a telephonic call from the appointment section staff.
Changing Your Appointment
As soon as you are aware that you will not be able to make it for an existing appointment, telephone us on (00971-2) 506 4108 or 506 4079 , between 08.30 to 15.30 hours – (Sunday to Thursday). This will allow us to reschedule you sooner, as well as make use of the Consultant / Specialist’s invaluable time, so as to serve another fellow client.
Keeping your personal information safe
Everyone working at Al RAHBA hospital already has a legal duty to keep your personal information safe. There are several extra safeguards built into our system. All of these referral letter that we received are treated with utmost confidentiality. Medical Records are handled with utmost care and confidentiality. Each member of staff will only be able to look at the information they need to do their job and nothing else.
